There’s something strange about Bangkok. A minute or so, you dislike it. You are fed up with its pollution, disturbance, and madness, and then the next moment, you plan to visit one of the temples or one of its markets. As you see, tourist’s point; you intensely love Bangkok. It’s a vibrant city with so many places to see and things to do. This abundance of tourist places often confuses tourists. But no more! Here are ten things you should do while in Bangkok. 

1. The Grand Palace

Constructed in 1782, the Grand Palace did not only remain home to the King of Thailand and the Thai government’s administrative seat for many decades; It has turned out to be a pride and spiritual place for Thai Peoples. The Grand Palace is a fantastic place to learn Thai history and picture taking, with grand statues, tall gilded spires on the roofs, a colorful exterior, and splendid Buddhas.

Upon entry, a pamphlet hands over to visitors with detailed history and facts about each section in the Grand Palace. Being a top tourist attraction in Bangkok, it becomes hard to navigate during peak hours because of the large number of people visiting this palace daily.

If you’d like quiet, be sure to get into the palace around 8:30 AM before the tour groups come at 9 AM. If you intend to spend several hours, please carry lots of water.

Avoid Scammers. Tuk-tuk and taxi drivers will tell you that this place is closed for ‘Buddha day’ and offer a city tour for 20 baht. You without sounding rude, ignore them.

2. Chao Paya Cruise

Chao Phraya is a significant river that runs through Bangkok into Thailand. This river is a perfect vacationer attraction since it moves by all the famous tourist sites.

If you show up on the Chao Paya river, your visit will not be accomplished if you don’t take a river cruise. These boat tours and river cruises have been offering tours for a long time and acquiring a large number of tourists.

4. Wat Saman Rattanaram

Wat Saman Rattanaram hosts the largest Ganesha statue in Thailand. This shiny pink divine elephant stand is 16 meters tall and 22 meters long. Visiting Wat Saman Rattanaram gives an outline of the relationships between Hinduism and Buddhism.

You can find a wide selection of stalls selling statues of Buddhist and Hindu divinities and goddesses across the temple complex. Keep in mind; you can’t take Buddha statues out of the country unless you’ve got a special permit.

5. DreamWorld

DreamWorld is the best theme park in Thailand, where you can have more than forty different rides and attractions. A whole bunch of fun for the entire family, DreamWorld puts a smile on the faces of everyone who visits.

6. Floating Market 

As you possibly got from the name – these are the market on the water. In the past, farmers from out of Bangkok used these floating markets to supply fresh food to city residents, and today the water markets are prominent amusement for tourists.

Although products sold here can be purchased on Bangkok’s streets, these markets have attracted millions of visitors since opening. Most visitors arrive here to take a photo and experience an unusual trade on the water with their own eyes.

7. Chatuchak Weekend Market

Chatuchak Weekend Market is a market you have to visit if you are in Bangkok on weekends. Specifically, when you plan to visit Bangkok, you are sure to be there on Saturday or Sunday to see the Chatuchak weekend market.
